| Application Process
The University of Hawai'i Transitional Residency Program (UHTRP) participates in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) sponsored by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). UHTRP is accepting applications only through ERAS, and will not consider applications or application attachments sent separately. Please note the following UHTRP requirements which must be included in your ERAS application:
The deadline for Program receipt of your ERAS application is December 1. We highly recommend that you submit your ERAS application as soon as possible to allow adequate processing time and to give enough lead time for interviewing. Applications are screened by UHTRP Selection Committee members, and due to the number of applications we receive each year, interviews are by invitation only. Applicants invited for an interview will be notified by e-mail. Applicants invited to interview are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity. However, applicants unable to accept the invitation to interview may still remain under active consideration, depending on individual circumstances. Interviews are conducted from November through January. Residents are selected solely through the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). |
