Jane Onouye, Ph.D.
Dr. Jane Onoye is an Assistant Professor in the Research Division of the Department of Psychiatry, and the Co-Principal Investigator/Assistant Director for the National Coordinating Center for the Academic Centers of Excellence on Youth Violence Prevention funded by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Dr. Onoye is also currently program manager for several ongoing studies of maternal mental health and child development.
Local to Hawaii, she graduated with her B.S., Psychology, M.S., Experimental Psychology, and Ph.D., Experimental Psychology from Colorado State University. She did a post-doctoral fellowship at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Developmental Psychobiology, and also post-doctoral work at the Queen’s/Hamamatsu PET Imaging Center.
Dr. Onoye is a volunteer tutor for PBL Unit IV, as well as morale officer for the DoP Research Division. She also has been involved with the Hawaii State Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) Task Force and serves as co-chair for the Perinatal Depression Initiative Group.
