Psychiatry Journal Club Focus Group

The CME Psychiatry Journal Club Focus Group reviews the annual and semi-annual evaluations of the Journal Club program to ensure that it addresses all six core competencies of the ACGME and the ABPN. The Focus Group assesses the feedback from the CME evaluation forms completed for CME credit as well as the residents?pre and post surveys. This information is used to improve the journal article selection and the Journal Club program overall. Focus Group members create the year-round schedule and appoint residents to the roles of discussants. Select journal articles are chosen to address existing professional practice gaps and/or educational needs. Members are also expected to act as faculty moderators, assist residents with their presentations, and attend Journal Club on a regular basis. The Journal Club Focus Group provides updates to the CME Committee on details or changes to the Psychiatry Journal Club and its subspecialty Journal Clubs. The Journal Club Focus Group meets bi-monthly.
