Aloha!

We want to warmly welcome you to The University of Hawai'i Internal Medicine Residency Program website. We believe Hawaii is an amazing and unique place to train, with year-round sunshine, cultural diversity, and a strong sense of ohana or family.

Outrigger canoe paddling holds an important place in Hawaiian culture and has evolved to become a favorite local pastime and sport that in many ways captures the spirit of our residency program. A Hawaiian saying reads, "Ho'okahi ka 'Ilau like ana" or "wield the paddles together". With our dedicated and enthusiastic residents, faculty, and staff, we join in synchrony to navigate through the spiritual, emotional, and physical journey of residency.

Mahalo or thank you for your interest in our program. Join us and "Komo mai kau mapuna hoe" or dip your paddle in!

Nishal, Nani, and Mike
