In ancient Hawai‘i, kukui nuts were burned to provide a guiding light and to measure time. This graphic symbolizes the excellent educational programs and supportive learning environment residents receive. The overall concept encompasses what the program hopes to instill in its residents: medical knowledge, enlightenment and cultural values.
